Best Pizza in Miami. Clean, unpretentious Design District location with great energy.

great Roman style pizza!
Pizza Volante serves some of the best Pizza I have had in Miami. Roman style, so thin crust. perfectly cooked, slightly charred on the edges, nice choice of traditional (some organic) toppings. Delicious. To start I had the house salad--super simple but like the pizza, rendered perfectly with fresh torn romaine,black olives,homemade croutons and lightly tossed with redwine vinegar and organic olive oil. My husband had a panini with arugula,prosciutto and peccorino, also good, but the pizza was better. The space is small, family style tables, very casual. They offer a decent selection of wine. The design district location is great--easy parking and I live in the area so I was eager to give it a try. I heard the owner is Jonathan Eisenman--of Pacific Time. I wish him the best. What a great addition.
