Poppies Restaurant & Deli

Today I visited this place for the first time. The first impression: people running this place are not professionals. We got ushered to a table and seated without getting a menu. The coffee was served in 10 minutes, lukewarm..The waitress appeared 10 min. later to take orders...she went to get us menus... another 10 minutes...she came back to take orders. The waitress was visibly stressed out and rushed and not pleasant. It took another 20 minutes for our omelets to arrive. One lady at out table was not happy with the overly toasted English muffin and asked if she could get another one. The waitress' response was "Are you kidding me?".Them she moves on to the table across from ours and discusses our request for another English muffin with customers over there, loud enough for us to hear. Don't expect a "Customer is always right" attitude here. The food is average. I will not be returning to that restaurant.

Each and every time I've dined at Poppies I've been very pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere! I take visiting family and friends there often and have never been disappointed. The menu has something for everyone, the food is delicious and they serve generous portions. The wait staff is always friendly and accommodating. I love that the restaurant is spacious and you can carry on a conversation comfortably. I highly recommend POPPIES!

Zero personality. Feltlike I was visiting a mechanic shop. A grunt was about the best I could get out of any of my servers. Way overpriced for what I ordered

We ordered hot sandwiches we were given cold sandwiches. We asked for extra pickles they didn't give them. When we complained to the manager he said we'll only microwave them and give them back to you! So we asked for our money back . While this was going on there was another customer complaining about their bill. My advice spend your money on a place that appreciates your business .

Ordered matzoh brie - it was dry like cardboard - the place is overrated and expensive

We took out some food including a nice sized portion of stuffed cabbage. Counterman confirmed it was sweet and sour sauce. After 65+ years of eating stuffed cabbage, this was the biggest disappointment ever! Couldn't eat it, threw it away! There was so much vinegar in it that sweet and sour didn't apply - it was PICKLED! Not fit to eat! Sorry. The tongue was good though and the coleslaw was excellent.

My favorite is corned beef hash and I have tried it in other restaurants in the area. Not only do they have the best tasting, they have the best value on it.
