I have been coming down to sobe for 15 years and always make a point of having coffee and an evil chocolate velvet muffin at 2pm. I sit outside, enjoy the view, and my "snack"! I have always found the staff to be delightful! Can"t wait for next Feb.!

35 minutes and counting for 2 turkey sandwiches. Service was rude.

While killing some time before getting on our cruise ship last month, our family was driving near the Port of Miami looking for a place to have lunch. We came across the Portofino deli and popped in for something quick. We had no idea we would be having the best sandwiches we've ever had! We loved it so much, after our cruise returned, we made a detour to the deli again before heading to the airport. If you make it there, try the "Amor Eterno". Simply awesome!

The sandwiches here are solid, if uninspired. It has some tables outside for dining al fresco, which is nice. As another review pointed out, however, the service is slow, occasionally surly, and shoddy, even by South Beach standards. If they dialed up the service, this place would be pretty decent.

The food's not bad, but I've never seen service this slow. They call themselves a "New York Style Deli." In the time it takes these folks to serve a single customer, a New York deli would have served ten. This place is convenient, but because of the incredibly slow service, I rarely go.
