    Go somewhere else

Had 7:30 reservations. Squeezed into the tiny waiting area with 40 other unhappy people. Felt sorry for the people sitting in front of the bathrooms. Finally seated at 9:30. Menu ordinary. Food was acceptable, not outstanding but was actually too starving/annoyed at that point to enjoy. South Beach has too many other steakhouses that respect reservations; go somewhere else!

    Disaster

Having travelled all over the world and experienced many of the best of the best my experience at Prime 112 was disappointing. We had a reservation for 9.30, we left having not been seated or offered anything but rudeness at 11.30. Not only was the front staff rude but I was also pushed out of the way by the hostess with a stack of menus. Needless to say I will never go there again being treated the way we were treated but seems as if they really don't care.

    Amazing!

I went to Prime 112 with 3 clients/friends from Toronto. All of us have dined at the finest steakhouses in North America and some of the finest restaurants in Europe. Everyone agreed it was not only one of the best dinners we had ever had, but also felt that it was one of the best experiences. The Ribeye was sensational. The 4/12 pound Maine Lobster was incredible. And the Giant Shrimp, Maryland Crab Meat and Truffled cream of Corn (yes cream of Corn) were unforgettable. Worth the money and the wait is part of the experience.

    Not recommended

I made our reservation 30 days in advance. They had us waiting 2 hours to be seated! They should have told us the wait would be so long when we first got there so we could decide if we wanted to go elsewhere. The girls at the front desk were rude. The manager pretended to help by saying-your table is being set up. Really? It takes 2 hours to set up my table? The food was just ok and definitely NOT worth the wait!

    Best Steak

Came here for dinner. We had reservations so we got seated as soon as we showed up. The food was amazing, our steaks were cooked perfectly, and so were our other dishes. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and so was the rest of the staff. We had a pleasant experience. Prices are high, but it's well worth it.

    Overhyped, underwhelmed, overpriced

We were very much looking forward to a great steak dinner, especially considering the reviews. Words cannot describe what a disappointing experience Prime One Twelve turned out to be. First, we had to wait an hour for a table even though we had a reservation. The hostess was annoyed when we asked the status of things after 40 minutes of waiting - when did this become an acceptable practice? When we finally made it to our table an hour and fifteen minutes after our confirmed reservation time I will admit , the menu looked amazing. We ordered the rib eye for two and some of the incredible sounding sides along with a bottle of red. How does a steakhouse ruin a rib eye? The both of us had problems cutting the steak that is how tough it was. And the gentleman's steak next to us was overcooked. We have both been to some of the best steak houses in the country and have never seen experienced anything like this. One of the sides, their potato gratin, was practically inedible with a completely blackened/burned bottom. The only saving grace of the night was the bottle of red, our side of corn with truffle butter and the people watching. It is better than live theatre. Given the issue with our steak the "house" bought us an order of fried oreos which were good but not good enough to justifiy ever setting foot into this establishment again This place is a scene, but not someplace to go if you are looking for a great steak.

    Best Restaurant in Miami

I live in NYC but come down to Miami a few times a year to get away from the cold. I have to say that Prime 112 is my favorite restaurant in all of south beach! Amazing food and service. There will be a wait even if you have a reservation, especially on the weekends but its worth the wait. The food is perfectly prepared and super fresh. Its the best!!
