Randazzo's Little Italy

The food was pre-prepaired, we ordered for 10 people and served in three minutes. No flexibility with the menu. No food for children at all. Low salt and taste. Salad poorly prepared.

This was my 2nd time here. The food, atmosphere & staff are AWESOME. Quick service, great food & Marc is an absolute sweet heart. He cooks the food, talks to all the guest & is a real down to earth guy. The staff & customer service is AWESOME. Dining here is like being at grandma's house, you take your time to eat & you enjoy your meal....no one is rushing you out the door. I'm Italian & I don't normally eat Italian but I have to say for me to come here 2 weekends in a row really has to say a lot. ......10 stars all the way to Marc & his amazing staff.

I'd read about the poor service. Actually our waiter was very good, hampered by really poor restaurant layout. (he had to walk downstairs to get any drinks). The food was just not that good. Salad was great, meatballs not so much. My veal piccata was overwhelmed with garlic and lemon in a gelatinous sauce and my companion's chicken cannolli had nice vodka sauce but was too salty for him. The dessert was terrific. Coffee and bread lousy. Pricey, given the quality of the food. We dined early. As people came in, it got very noisy very fast. As my mother used to say, "You only get stuck once".

Ordered for lunch pickup from the menu online showing a lunch special of $22 which includes Appetizer, Entrée and Dessert, then when we went to pickup the order for 3 of them, they were charging us $90 plus and didn't include dessert. They said that special is no longer available, well why is it showing online?? Also instead of showing good customer retention and allowing us to pay for the order and telling us they would honor it, they said okay they would cancel it and took back the order to the kitchen. I am sorry but I feel like when you are a business owner you try anything within your control to retain them. It's not like they were losing money on our order. SCRATCH THEM OFF MY RESTAURANT LIST!!!

We had made reservations a week in advance for our group of twelve, Saturday 7:30 pm. We arrived and our reservation was nowhere to be found. The hostess gave us a lame excuse and poor apology and mentioned that we could be seated in about 30 minutes, which I thought to be ok for a Saturday night in the Gables. We had been here before and the food was worth the wait. Big mistake. We got seated after waiting for 1 hour. The waiter came promptly but we could hardly hear him over the extremely loud music that was playing. When we requested if they could lower it a bit, he said that the owner likes it that way to create ambiance. This is ambiance, if you like to scream over your food. Drink orders were misplaced, the waiter could not remember who ordered what. Our orders of wine glasses stood at the bar were we could see them for minutes before someone decided to serve them. The waiter did not ask if we wanted appetizers or soups. He went directly for the main courses. Bread baskets stood empty. Garlic bread orders were brought in after everyone had almost finished their meals. Water glasses stood empty. From order to delivery we waited around 35 to 40 minutes. When the food was delivered half the table was served, the other half was served 5 minutes after. My two kids (4 and 8) and I, were served last, a good 10 minutes after the first plate had arrived at our table. The waiter forgot the linguine that comes with my veal Marsala and brought it 5 minutes after. He also forgot the spaghetti order for my 4 year old. He ended up having half of his brothers plate which had plenty of pasta. They ran out of the wine I was drinking which was the house Chianti. An italian restaurant running out of Chianti on a Saturday night, incredible and sad!!! The price of the food was almost 20% higher than at lunch or afternoon time, even though the portions are the same and the service is way better at lunchtime. As a matter of fact, whenever we had been here to eat in the afternoon we always received a complementary cup of soup with our food. The food is good and plentiful, it is a shame that poor service and lack of attention to detail, ruined its good taste. If it wasn't for the good spirits and positive attitudes that we had as a group, all that bad service could have ruined our night. I will think twice before returning to Randazzo's again for dinner, or lunch for that matter.

I love this place. The portion are huge and when I said huge I mean it. The service was great. I will go back again and again ps the owner is a very humble guy.
