Rooney's Public House
Posted by DOLFAN on 06/22/2010
I live in the neighborhood (South Jupiter), and Rooney's is my favorite place to eat in Abacoa. If you're in the area, playing a round of golf or watching baseball at Roger Dean Stadium, eat at Rooney's. The Pub is on the northeast corner of Town Center Drive, and Edna Hibel Way. If the street parking is filled, there is a parking garage right behind the Pub (north side, towards Roger Dean Stadium). The managers and staff are happy for your business, and show it. I eat at the Pub at least once a week, the service is ALWAYS friendly. I'm a rabid DOLFAN, the Steeler fans don't give me too much grief. The food is Pub food, really GOOD Pub food. My favorite is the Char-grilled Meatloaf, served with smashed potatoes and veggies. Even the smaller lunch portion is filling. To keep me busy while my Meatloaf is on the grill, I order the Pierogies or the Potato Leek soup. Share either one, or you'll have a problem finishing your Entree. The Iced tea is fresh brewed. If you're a beer lover, the Pub is paradise. There is outdoor seating, it's really nice when the weather is good, and there isn't a lot of traffic on either Town Center or Hibel Way. When friends and family come down to visit, Rooney's is on our short list of places to eat. I give you my word, the food is good, you get your moneys worth, and the service is friendly.
