Mouth watering fish tacos
Had the best fish tacos. freshly crisp over seafood slaw and home made diced fries the jalopy sauce was incredible. I had great service quick knowledgeable and sweet. the atmosphere was very comfy and warm. the food was presented very nicely.

Will give it another chance
Although I had the most disappointing experience with the "seafood Pasta" Soggy overdone penne, 5 mussels 3 not opened 1 stuck to shell, rock shrimp so shriveled I could not get a fork thru it scallops o.k but tiny, "bits" of fish were good. Many of my friends have had better meals and raved about the food so I will try again, perhaps on week days as stated in another review.

Good food when chef makes it.
Good food, good value, good atmosphere but poor service. Been there 4 times. Two times ate during the week at the bar and it was excellent. Two times ate at the dinning room and the service was atrocious. They need to get some decent help. When Chef actually did the cooking, the food was superb. during the busy weekend, someone else cooked and it was poor. Will go back only on weekdays.

Doing OK for 8 weeks - strive for excellent in coming weeks!
Had a very pleasant dinner at Russell's last night. Not fabulous, not sub par. BUT we think they have promise. Great: lobster bisque; fresh ingredients and flipping fresh fish; nice atmosphere; Chef stopped at each table to check in and say hello. So-so: the bread (get rid of those raisin/nut rolls if you want diners to finish their dinner, and the onion things are bleh); the caprese salad - heavy hand on the garlic, which was also a surprise; requested medium rare salmon - it arrived done through. We were seated right away and served water quickly...but...then...the...waiting...began. Once acknowledged, the server took care of us but bar service was so slow that our wine arrived halfway through the meal. So, a few things to work on (or avoid if you don't like onion in your bread or garlic on your caprese) but we plan to go back to see what Chef caught, cleaned and cooked that day!

For a new spot, they do a great job!
The decor is somehow both homey and modern, with nice tables and chairs in a cozy room. As a new restaurant there may kinks that need to be worked out but none that I saw or interrupted my wonderful experience.
