Came to Shanes with big expectations after perusing ads, etc. Both my wife and I, who are Barbecue lovers came away deeply disappointed, in fact quite turnedoff. Service was near non-existent. Had to wait at counter until somebody showed up to take our orders. Accidentally spilled drink, nobody showed up to clean up the mess until another customer came over and helped. Waited about a half hour before our food was brought to the table and then it was not as ordered. example was that I had ordered onions for my burger, there were nne at all. Finally caught a waitress who promised to bring onions momentarily. 10 minutes later she delivered ends of onions that were hard to chew and were quie strong. My burger tasted worse than cardboard. A savong grace was the barbecue which I used to mask the tasteless burger. My wife's brisket was pretty tasty but considerably dried-out. Spending $21.00 for a lusy burger, fries, 2 beverages and a rather good brisket sandwich occurred to us as an insult.
