I was very excited when I walked into Shelby's. By the looks of it I thought it was going to be a great place. However the service was absolutely poor it ruined the whole experience I will never go there again, and I warn anyone else thinking of going. We waited 1 1/2 hours for a tuna sandwich & corned beef hash with eggs over easy. Tables of people came, ate and left before we got even a bite to eat. Then our food arrived, and my husbands eggs that should have been over easy were dried and gelatinous as if they were Microwaved after 40 minutes of sitting under a heat lamp. Then when I complained, the overall attitude was too bad so sad!!!!?!?! NOT Recommended

Whenever you go to a restaurant and see very few people sitting there this should raise a red flag. Although the service was quick the food was dry, tasteless and raw. The meet dish I ordered was raw in the middle, the bread was old, the deli meet was tasteless. When I asked for gravy for the meat they gave me cornstarch mixed with something that looked like gravy but was not. I suggest you avoid going to this non-hotspot.

I was a little disappointed by my overall dining experience today at Shelby's. It took 10 minutes for our server to greet us. Another 5 for us to get our drinks. It took 30 minutes for me to get my pancakes and bacon, while my fiancé did not receive either of the two sides she ordered. As I found out when I got the check it took our server 13 minutes just to put in our order. The food was just average so it did not make up for the awful service we received. Shelby's came highly recommended by a friend of ours but I can honestly say I won't go back, there are plenty of better breakfast places/diners around with better service and food. I work in the food service industry and I give a ton of leeway as I know what servers go through, but this was a little ridiculous. I even counted five other parties who sat after we did who got service and food before we did. This other group next to us sat about 10 minutes after us, got their food 10 minutes before us, and had already left before we had received any food. I honestly hope this was a fluke, but it was fluke enough for me to not go back.

We're snowbirds here for a couple of months and we've feel like guiney pigs having tested various restaurants. Shelby's is good for just about any craving you have and it's always good! Anything from an egg salad sandwich, a stacked high cornbeef on rye, to their meatloaf, lamb, chicken, turkey or dinner platters. The salads on the side are also fresh and crisp with home made dressings on the side. The fries are piping hot and home made and milkshakes are the real thing- you can't go wrong with this place- oh, and the breakfasts are outstanding

This is the place for good eats. Try to finish the Terminator, a 24 inch pancake topped with eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes. I;v tried, could not do it! will give it a try again. I'll be back!
