Greetings All! After 15 years I finally got the opportunity to return to Shiraz today with a friend of mine. I was originally introduced to Persian food and culture in 1979 when I was a teenager in NY. Sitting in Shiraz today brought back very fond memories. For starters, we had the Persian salad, along with Moust, which is a yogurt and dill sauce. You can easily consume these two with the bread offered. I ordered the Gourmet Sabzi, which is a Persian stew served over super delicious Basmati rice. I died and went to heaven! My friend had the Kabob Koobideh, which is ground beef, served over Basmati as well. The owner is a sweetheart (she did remember me from 15 yrs. ago) She has been in the US since the early 80's. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. The prices are very reasonable, but honestly, Persian food this good is worth every penny. The only negative star I can give Shiraz is that it lacks some Persian background music. And if you want to practice speaking Farsi, unfortunately it's only "Mrs. Shiraz" that will understand you. ENJOY!

We tried the appetizer called kashk bademjan It was just perfect. The kabab also was very tasty and tender.

We went to Shiraz Cafe on a friend's recommendation, and were not disappointed at all. The food is fresh and delicious, the service warm and friendly, and the portions more than adequate. We will be back for more!
