Not recommended
The servers were good. The atmosphere was also good and the restaurant seemed clean. The food was bland, not Cajun. They need to invest in food quality.

Great food
I've been going to this place for over 7 years.. The food is great!! I honestly have not found anything I dislike. The beer from tap is overpriced, so I buy the bottles. The service is poor, but the food keeps ya coming back. The place is great for anyone. Great music playing through out unless there's a game on. Everyone's pallet is different and likes different things but if you wanna piece of Nawlins food this place has got it, just don't expect to be catered to hand over foot.

Nice casual spot BUT
Cajun food is good . Liked the oysters Bienville. Draft beers are nice but way overpriced for their size. employees are not very friendly. Almost like they don't care if you stay or not. For this reason, we probably won't return.

Not so "unforgettable"
We are well traveled, and well fed. This eatery was recommended as the best around for bayou fare. I guess "best" is relative. Flavors are mediocre at best. The catfish was crisp but lacked taste. The combination platter lacked combination flavors, it all tasted the same. "self serve" would be the preferred manor of service. Orders were not served together. (2 persons) leaving one to wait for the other. when the bananna pudding came sans the pecan pie ( which never did materialize) it clearly was time for the check. The servers did not seem concerned with our lack of service but did ask if we wanted the pie to go. The bussing person was the one that said thanks and have a good night. The server did mention as he dropped the check, the dessert was taken off. We really did want this to be a good eating option as we are in the neighborhood. We will return once more, (our custom) and just perhaps we will walk away with a totally different experience....(hopefully)

Best Cajun food
Awesome food! Had the Shrimp and Grits Sat. special and it was out of this world. Oysters fresh and Gumbo is awesome. Beer selection is from New Orleans brewery and Purple Haze ale complimented my dish. Laid back atmosphere....Cant wait to come back and try other dishes.

Food tasty but staff was uninviting
So I heard this place had awesome food & New Orleans Atmosphere! So I went! I was greeted quickly but w/o a smile or eye contact. When I inquired about some of the beers on tap. The young girl seemed it was above her to answer any questions. So she handed me the table tent & said I could read it.Well, there's ONLY 4 beers on tap must have been exhausting for her! LOL. She gave me a menu & never came back. I was then greeted by a more experienced server/bartender who was polite but in a hurry..she couldn't wait to give me the check. I wanted another beer, I guess not! My food was average, I got the Voodoo Wings that was recommended by another patron & I'll go back to see what else on the menu might be better. I'll hope for more friendly service. I work in the industry so I'm more forgiving than the average Joe!

Very good
I have only been once, but plan to go back! I had ordered take out. The staff was very friendly! I ordered the fried oyster dinner. It is hard to find places here that serve fried oysters, let alone good ones. These were great! Cooked just right, not overdone or too much breading! I will be going back often!
