Chef is locked into salt. Salted butter, salted steak, etc. Steak was very ordinary, reasonable grade of meat, but poorly seasoned - except for the salt. Waiter was not familiar with silverware. No way to move food from serving bowl to plate. Somewhat noisy place - but that could be by choice. Opinion: food taste should be first food appearance is second. This restaurant gets an A for presentation, but a C for taste.

First off, they have the coolest Jellyfish/blacklight tank you pass when you getting seated. You can either opt to sit inside the nicely designed restaurant or sit outside overlooking the main road and the beach. The W (the hotel its located at) is extremely fashionable as well. Valet parking is a plus since I like that, but it is however mandatory if you want to park there. Food was what I expected but not the nicest steak house either. Only thing that was bad was the fact that people can walk right off the sidewalk and into the outside eating area, which of course happened and that is why I took note. Overall I would visit again. The atmosphere is outstanding. Very elegant, but don't let that trick you. I ordered a filet cooked medium. When I received it, it was rare and the waiter didn't even wait to see if it was cooked correctly. I handed it back after waiting five minutes for someone to walk by. Service is subpar. I had an empty glass for more than ten minutes before someone came to fill it. When the steak came back the second time, it was still a tad rare. I was fed up with my wasted time so I ate it. Guess what... It's a plain steak. There is nothing, not even butter on this filet. A plain steak that tastes like a regular filet for $45.

Great date place! Awesome atmosphere. Amazing kobe, appetizers, sorbet, the truffle au gratin is amazing. Pricey but worth it!
