We had a great table in the corner and I was ready for a "real" Italian dinner. What we got was a waiter that did not want to add chicken to my gnocci which had no meat in it. He just kept turning up his nose at me...just mean! Ok...we can get past that...but when the food came it was plain..no flavor chicken was so dry and old tasted like rubber. I called when I had a chance to speak to the owner and he was even more rude that the waiter...Dont waste your time...go somewhere else anywhere else is better than mean people with extremely high prices. $18 for gnocci with no meat...just mushrooms from a can....lmbo!

I ate at this restaurant with a guest last week and was shocked at the prices on the menu and the rudeness of the hostess. The hostess informed us that everything on the menu was now a la carte, and our main meal at $25 each did not come with soup nor salad. I live in Montreal and am used to higher food prices and when warranted, it is my pleasure to pay. My veal parmagiana meal was very good though NOT worth the price. The ambiance was cute, but far from fine dining. To add to my discomfort with the price of my meal, the music was irritating and the plastic floral arrangements atop our heads were extremely dusty. I will never return here and would never recommend this place to anyone.

there are better Italian restaurants in west palm beach. the only time I eat there is when a client, who is not Italian,says they heard it's a good place. Since they are paying I go. the food is just edible. I can make better at home. If you did not grow up in an old fashon Italian house like I did you will think its' good. But I will never spend my money in there.

I went to Stresa for my first time this past Saturday and I loved it! The food was great I had the Chicken Parm and my Mom had the Veal and she said it was the best Veal she has ever had! The staff was very friendly and it was my Bday so they came out and sang to me! I will def go back..a good tip would be to make a reservation they are pretty packed.

and never bad service. The staff has always worked to ensure that my guests' food is to their liking and that all is well. The food is terrific, and they will happily make something off the menu to suit a patron's taste.

Other reviewers seem to have had hit-or-miss service, but we've always had capable serving staff. There is absolutely nothing hit-or-miss about the food, though. It's simply the best Italian cooking in Florida—and possibly the east coast. The veal is indescribably tender and flavorful and the pizzaioli sauce is wonderful beyond words. Pasta is first rate and the dover sole, while pricy, is a gastronomic delight. Beef carpaccio may have been invented at Harry's Bar in Venice but Stresa has perfected it. The freshness and quality of all the ingredients, from the first course to dessert are clearly evident. Located on a busy thoroughfare and with a tricky parking lot, this is a do not miss eating establishment.

We have been to this restaurant many times and have recommended it to many of my friends. It is reminiscent of Italian restaurants in New York City’s Little Italy. The food is excellent especially the veal. Prices have risen 30% in the past few years, and it would still be worth it if the quality of service matched that of the food. Unfortunately it does not even come close. In Little Italy, waiters treat you like you are a guest in their home. In Stresa’s they treat you like you are an annoyance to be tolerated. Service at this restaurant has been declining for years. When I’m paying nearly $60.00 per person (with tax and tip) I expect to be treated professionally. Our waiter was curt, condescending, arrogant and insulting. He literally ruined the meal. My guests were shocked because I had recommended the restaurant so highly. There are many other fine restaurants in this area, I will not be going back to this one nor will, I am sure, any of my guests. If the level of service that we experienced is now typical of this restaurant, I don’t expect them to remain in business much longer.
