Glorified diner food
Almost all dishes came prepared with a dark, overly sweet sauce. Not nearly as refined or sophisticated as I expected. Most dishes, even the delicious brussel sprouts or the asparagus, were very heavy and greasy. The desserts were good but frankly I have had better. I would come back for the ambiance, not for the food.

Fabulous!
Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Lively crowd. Always packed. If you're looking for a fun place to get a drink or a great bite to eat head over to Sugarcane Raw Bar and Grill. The food is amazing. I had never been till a few friends suggested it and since then I'm there as much as possible. Best things on the menu are the bacon wrapped dates, the goat cheese croquetas, the duck and waffles, the mini kobe sliders, the veal meatballs, and the steamed pork buns. Dessert is fantastic too! Try the torrejas - a spanish twist on french toast that is out of this world! If you don't have a reservation on the weekend, good luck trying to get in without waiting, so definitely call ahead. Week days is a good crowd, if you don't have a reservation it shouldn't be hard to get seated soon. Service is quirky sometimes and the waiters will confuse the tables but they're all very nice along with the head staff. Definitely a must try if you're in the area or looking for a fun new restaurant.
