As a Haitian citizen, I must say the food (on Mother's Day) was not impressive at all. It did NOT remind me of back home at all. I ordered mango juice, tasted like sugar, and barely mango flavored. Then I tried ginger tea, not sure why it tasted bitter at first, then super spicy. No real ginger tastes like this. I am not sure if oil was not clean ,but the sweet potato fries were dark brown. The griot had no taste or flavor to it. Then to top it off, it seems like the waiter tried to pull a fast on me with the bill, by including gratuity to total. Furthermore after I gave my debit card , the slips both said the total and right under 18 percent gratuity as if it should part of my final total. I asked another waitress if gratuity was included, she said no it was not included. I do not think it is right!$

I am a born Haitian and this by far is the most unappetizing food I've ever had. My boyfriend who is Jamaican came with me and now does not want to eat at any Haitian restaurants. Little bit of food was overpriced. The place needs to be updated. Don't waste your time and money

Tap Tap Restaurant is a great place to bring your loved ones. The food is delicious, the waiters are very helpful and courteous. I love the live band/music. They play all types of music. That's why I make sure when I go there, I must asked the waiter to find a table that is next to the band. From time to time, I will take my family there often. My family and I enjoy the place and we had lots of fun.

I loved the murals and food. Was a refreshing treat for an out of towner experiencing the South Beach buzz. Also of interest was the Haitian Coffee, that was apleasent surprise as well.

In an area full of pricey and unappealing food, particularly ethnic food, Tap Tap offers amazing quality and value. I visit Miami once a year and always make a point to stop by Tap Tap for dinner. I live in New York, which offers a good selection of Haitian and Caribbean restaurants, but I've never had curry goat like I've had at Tap Tap, where it rolls on your tongue like the tenderest delicacy. My friend who lives here raves about their grilled chicken, conch fritters, and mojitos, the last of which are described as the best on earth. Try it once, and you'll keep returning as I have!

I love this place. It's definitely the best Haitian restaurant I have been to. The atmosphere is really great--you are surrounded by Haitian art and Music. The food is delicious like Mom makes (I'm Haitian). The service is a little slow, but that's because they are always packed with all ethnic groups! Unlike some other Haitian places which shall remain nameless the staff really does cater to you. You are treated very well. The manager goes around and asks how you are doing and if everything is to your liking. I highly recommend this place.
