Not one to give long reviews, straight and to the point. I made a reservation on Feb 14th to celebrate both Valentine’s and our two month wedding anniversary. Upon arriving, we were rudely informed that the restaurant had ran out of food. Poor planning, management, overbooking, honestly I couldn't care less what the issue was. Not a manager in sight to offer an explanation even after multiple requests to be heard. Bottom line is that this place is unreliable, unprofessional, and lacks the common decency of proper customer service.

I just want to start out saying that if you are thinking of holding your holiday party at Tatu DONT. The food is good, but The service is poor, they cannot accomadate are large group of people.. they were very understaffed.. there was not enough food, even though we were to be served family style..people left hungry. When we asked for another serving to the table it never arrived! And what they did bring out the first time was such a small amount on a plate that most people just got one piece. People did not get to try half of the entree's. Dirty plates sat on the table until I asked for them to be removed.. It took forever to get drinks even though we were to have a 3 hour open bar. It took one of our guests 30 minutes for a beer and another guest 30 minutes for a glass of sprite. We had 2 servers to take care of 46 guests. When we were supposed to have 5. We were supposed to be greeted with one of their speciality drinks, oh we were alright our group was 46 people and they had someone standing there with 8 drinks.?? When I asked to speak with management they kept passing the buck to someone else. We will never, never again hold our party there!! Very angry and dissappointed customer.

I'd heard rave reviews about TATU from some friends of mine so when my sister was in town (she loves sushi) we decided to do a night at the Hard rock and eat dinner at TATU. I've been to the Hard Rock several times but I'd never actually eaten dinner at TATU. When we got there (9:30ish on a Saturday) they were packed so we put our name on the list and hung out at their bar. You have to try the lycheetini! When we sat at our table we got one of those cool tables with metal curtains, the server came over and brought us some spicy cucumbers before we even ordered anything.. nice touch! Our server really helped us with our ordering since our party was very chatty he figured what everyone wanted without being obtrusive, truly professional! Our faves were mushroom dumplings, crab rangoons and the utah roll. The food was really amazing and I eat out frequently and have to say that the service there was some of the best. I suggest going there with at least four or more people. That way you can really get to try a lot of different stuff. Oh wait! almost forgot! When they bring the check to the table they also bring tattoos AND cotton candy!! Sooooo much fun! I'll def be back next month!

My friends and I went to Hard Rock for a "ladies night out" and decided to eat at Tatu since it had great reviews from other friends and co-workers. We were seated within a few minutes of arriving which was wonderful! Let's start with the food. It was EXCELLENT! I ordered the Samurai roll which was the best I've ever had. 3 of my girlfriends ordered the Peppered Ribeye Steak which all said was delicious! We also ordered Crab Wontons and Spring Rolls but the dessert was the best part. I cant recall the exact but it was dulce de leche ice cream with sliced bananas and a warm cream cheese pastry. YUMMY!! Now for the service. Our waiter came pretty quickly and was very helpful in assisting us on deciding on what to order. That was the last time he was even the least bit helpful. He basically disappeared for the rest of the night making sporadic stops by our table only when we literally flagged him down! We even asked other waiters and waitresses to get him for us which still took him 10-15 minutes to get back to us. He was literally all over the place except our table ALL NIGHT LONG! After an a few hous of this, we requested the manager to come to our table and he never showed up! So very unprofessional. Then once he came back and we asked for the check, it took him almost 30 minutes to bring it back. The most insulting part of the night was when he came with the check and told us not to forget to include the tip! Wth? I couldn't believe he said that! Not once but twice! When he brought back our change, he said it again! I almost lost it! Everyone was insulted! WE have never not given a tip any place we've ever gone to so for him to say that really pissed me off! So, overall, the food was great but the service was subpar and very unprofessional. The waier was disappointing and the manager even more so for never showing up to our table. We'll probably go again but we will make sure we do not get that waiter again

I like the fact that when I go to hard rock I can get good sushi. This restaurant is really good (from staff to food). Highly recommend

While the atmoshpere is beautiful and the wait staff very attentive, the food is as equally good in other good Japanese restaurant. They cannot make any sushi rolls with brown rice, although brown rice can be ordered as a side dish. What you'll pay for is the atmoshpere and food presentation. For two of us, the bill came to $100 and we hadn't ordered anything extravagant. I would suggest going to Tatu for cocktails and an appetizer. For dinner, I'd suggest saving your money and go to your favorite sushi bar.

By far THE best restaurant in the area. My favorite: Samurai roll with a lychee-tini. Make reservations, but if walking in, the wait is definitely worth it!
