food is good, just can't get served

Waited 1 hour 15 min to get served entrée and ended up walking out. Attitude of staff is reflective of owner, who only caters to regulars. Never again. Too many other places to spend my money. Too bad, food is pretty good.

    Such a disappointment!

Following the renovation and addition, we decided to try this restaurant again. Previously we dined here 2 or 3 times. The food was average, the service good and the atmosphere very pleasant. However, tonight's visit will be our last. One enters now through the "nightclub" where the noise is significant and the ability to hear the host is almost impossible. We were taken to a table in the rear of the dining area. We expected that this distance from the noisy bar would be enough for us to enjoy an intimate meal. In fact, the dining rooms were also noisy and a party of 14 adults near our small table was extremely loud and discourteous to the other patrons. Our neighbors to the left of us had to raise their voices to be heard which made it even more unpleasant. The food was still average although our waiter was delightful and attentive. But we will not return. There are too many restaurants in the area offering quality food as well as a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere.

    Not recommended

I have been to this restaurant many times and always have recommended it to others. However,my recent visit was not enjoyable due to the recent expansion. It was noisy with bass speakers blaring.the food was not up to par either.Oysters rockefeller(4 for $12 ) were tiny and had a mellted cheese topping,no prosuitto,no seasoning and tiny oysters.Drinks went to $14 for a martini. Needless to say we will not be back.

    Disappointed in changes/atmosphere

As regular patrons who have recommended this restaurant to others & have brought several people on different occasions, we were very disappointed with the addition of the lounge next door. When entering what used to be an elegant, formal dining room, we were amazed how noisy the restaurant was due to the loud bass from the lounge. There also was a very loud party involving several tables in the one dining room, where the guests were standing and moving from one table to the other throughout the entire time we were there. They should have been in a separate room because they were extremely loud and rude and did not care if everyone around them was bothered by their noise. We did comment to the waiter (who was extremely polite and understanding) but the party was never asked by the owner who walked by several times, to keep their noise down. This restaurant used to be one of our favorites, but between the loud music next door and the owner that obviously didn't care about any of the other customers besides the large party ($$$), we will not be going back for our annual Christmas or New Year's Eve dinner. When a group that size comes into a restaurant that has tables closely assembled in a small space, they should be seated in the back room, or if they do have to be seated in the main dining room, the owner should have asked them politely to lower their voices and stop roaming over the other patrons who could not even carry on a conversation. We normally have dessert and coffee, however our entire evening was ruined and we just wanted to leave. Our evening that should have been relaxing & enjoyable turned into a nightmare of frustration.

    Always great food

Fantastic menu and great specials! My favorite Italian restaurant. Have eaten here or taken out at least 40 times. Never disappointed. Everyone I've recommended agrees. The staff and owners are friendly and attentive. No liquor but wine is cheaper than any other restaurant. Complimentary homemade limoncello is offered as after dinner drink.
