The Forge

Women's bathroom has a great mural of a woman painted across the bathroom stall doors. There is a fabulous glass chandelier and giant white chairs reminiscent of Alice on Wonderland. The lemon panna cotta was great as was the tuna tartar, beans and greens, and the bread basket. Only the entrees were uninspired. They are really unnecessary with all of the great bar snacks and starters

This restaurant had an promo that offered a $50 wine credit so a reservation was made online for a large party. We ordered a bottle of overpriced champagne (as well as numerous other bottles of wine) to apply this credit to. But, at the end of the meal as we received our bills we were told we could not use this credit towards a bottle and they pointed out a special wine list we would have had to order by the glass. They made no consideration whatsoever and the manager there was as close to useless as they come. It did not specify this at all when the reservation was booked online.

I have read and heard decent things about the Forge. The wine selection is incredible. The food was incredibly mediocre to say the least. The pasta we ordered was raw. Al dente is the norm but this was raw hard pasta. The bread was the best part of our meal. Definitely not a repeat. Our waiter was either new or completely out of it.

I was here last night. This place is simply one the greatest restaurants in Miami...and I'd even go so far as to say the nation. Im not kidding. The food is outstanding, the service feels like you are being constantly pampered and the atmosphere is unique and hip... Check it out...
