Yes, it is very loud and very distracting. After all you go out to eat for the food and conversation. The food is not bad and the portions are good. The service is ok overall but we have asked to lower the music without success. That really spoils the atmosphere. In a club it's ok to shout over the music but not when you are sitting down to have a meal with family and friends. We live in Palm Beach. We LOVE Caribbean food but think twice before making the trip to Hibiscus so we don't go often anymore.

The best Caribbean Chinese Food ever, my family and I go there all the time, there's something in the menu for everyone, yes, I agree the music can be too loud at times even on the restaurant side thus making it difficult to have a conversation, however, there's a take out option you can choose. The Customer service is awesome!!!

The best Authentic Caribbean food I've ever had in any restaurant. Great concept. We always visit this Florida landmark everytime we are in Fflorida.

I have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions. The food is excellent. I always have the chicken curry with fried veggie rice. You get a lot of food for your money. I am getting married in a few weeks and I plan on having them cater my wedding. Their food reminds me of my grandmother's cooking. The best!

Hibiscus is a rare find. The food is fantastic, reasonably priced and served by friendly staff. The food is the best especially the fried calamari, to be followed by the Chinese Chicken and Fried Rice, if the spices are not enough their homemade pepper sauce will take care of you. The Indian food is so flavorful and with fresh roti can't be beaten. Don't look for pomp and ceremony its all about the food and relaxed atmosphere just like home. I realy recommend you try it, if you don't like the loud music stay out of the bar and eat in the restaurant area. It is an Island restautrant with all mix of patrons. I go there everytime in town and we should all support our own.

Hibiscus is divided into 3 sections: the restaurant, bar and nightclub. The previous critic commented that the music is too loud. However, it all depends on which area you are sitting in. Quite frankly, I don't care about anything but the food. It is reasonably priced and consistently delicious. My favorite thing on the menu is the fried rice, chow mein/lo mein and chinese chicken (C1). The pepper shrimp is a must-have too. I crave their food all the time, but I live extremely far. I always make sure to stop in whenever I am in the Sunrise area.
