The Seven Dials

we've followed chef andrew for a while now, but this is his real baby. his wife, katie, who runs the front of the house is friendly and efficient. chef andrew is so talented and engaging. wait staff was perfect. we had a lot of food, and it was all cooked perfectly, and the special butternut squash (happily recommended by another table next to us) was very tasty, as were all of the appetizers we ate and main courses we treated ourselves to. we thought we'd have some of it left to take home, but to be honest, we kept eating and eventually finished all of it before we left. the last bite was as delicious as the first. don't forget to try the fish and chips, fresh and tender inside, and a crispy crunchy outside, well seasoned and yummy. the french fries that were served with it were as wonderful and we hoped they'd be. you owe it to yourself to go to this fabulous restaurant, seven dials.

Gem hidden on the first floor of a stylish Gables condo. This whimsical gastropub is the real deal: the British chef serves tasty bar food, charcuterie, housemade torchon and pub fare. Fish & chips is light and moist -- when we tried it, the fish was kingklip -- and the duck confit is rich and delectable. Look for daily British classics like cottage pie. Sticky toffee pudding was a special treat. Lots of good local craft beers and a good wine list, too. Intimate and friendly, perfect for a date or gathering with friends.

My wife and I have tried just about everything on the menu. I can't say enough how much we enjoyed it!
