    Disappointed in Parkland

We're Parkland residents & were happy to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood... so we decided to give it a try. Disappointment! After waiting for 25 minutes to get in (on a Tuesday night) we sat & waited another 10 minutes for our waitress. Hubby & I both ordered a dinner entree... approx $20 each. The wait for the food was long as well. And while the food was actually good, the meal was disappointing. At any other restaurant when you spend $40 on a meal, you're given bread or even celery sticks while waiting! In addition, we wanted salad as a side (instead of potatoes) we were told that this would cost $3 more per entree. For $40, I like to be pampered at least a little! $40 at any other restaurant would give you bread while you're waiting for your meal, as well as an entree that came WITH a salad. Sorry... we won't be eating here again for dinner. Maybe for a sandwich when you don't expect anything more than the sandwich, but a $20 dinner entree should include the basics.

    Never again

We have had dinner 3 times and were extremely disappointed with the food. It's all just batter and very little seafood. Ordered the conch fritters which are pricey and they were totally raw in the middle. We gave it 3 chances as did my neighbor and will never go back.

    A big surprise....

We went on a Sunday for lunch with our kids. Great menu, great food, full bar. The food was absolutely excellent and everybody super friendly. We live in Parkland and are so happy to have this option so close by.

    Generous portions and fresh tasting

The folks who run this place were formerly of the Whale's Rib in Deerfield Beach, the area's original best value in seafood! Now even better here, the portions, quality and prices can't be beat.

    Just good Seafood

After sitting down and reading the menu I thought "finally, a restaurant that people really want". The food is just what you were thinking. Restaurants just are not serving good quality food like this. The atmosphere is fun and cozy. The owners are hands on and take what they do personally and you feel that. I have brought my whole family back 3 times and they have only been open since July. I am so happy that there is finally a GREAT restaurant out here. This is definately the best idea for a restaurant around!

A great place..(get the whale fries!)

I went there after they had been open only a couple of days... I found the atmosphere very nice...I sat at the bar..my order was taken pretty quick...I had the oyster po-boy sandwich.. The people around me were enjoying themselves. I think this place will be a great success...we do not have anyplace like this in the area. I highly recommend giving it a try. From what I saw on other peoples' plates, the portions are huge...the prices are fair considering they use only fresh seafood...not frozen. Last..you must try the whale fries with their special whale juice..don't ruin them with ketchup!
