Place looks great but the food is disappointing

My boyfriend and I went to Florida August 6 for the weekend and wanted to enjoy some the more upscale eateries. We inquired and was referred to this place by someone from the hotel we stayed at. We arrived for dinner around 6:30p.m. and just were taken by the art etc., just well decorated place. We were escorted to our table in such a rush, which surprised us because their was no line at the door. A waiter took our order, the food came out very fast, and a small amount at that. I had the garlic chicken, by the way it comes with a small bowl of rice, and also, if you want to order a different rice like "fried rice," if there's only two in your party; you can't order it, the waiter will tell you "its for parties of four or more only." We couldn't believe what we were hearing. We told the waiter "we would pay for it," but he just kept shaking his head "no, sorry you cannot have that." My boyfriend had sweet and sour chicken, he said it was nothing special. He too felt throughout dinner we were rushed, but there was no obvious reason. We both feel the food was disappointing. We are firm believers in the old saying especially when it comes to food, "If you haven't had the best, you wouldn't know the best."
