    Poor service!

Never been to Miami, had a 8 hour layover and wanted to check out Calle Ocho and some Cuban food. Also was celebrating my mothers 60th birthday and based on the reviews on here, thought it would be a good place. Totally disappointed, we had poor service, when we asked the waiter for some suggestions, he just mumbled and pointed to one or two things on the menu. He seemed totally annoyed that we asked and didnt speak spanish in a Cuban accent. He did not come back to ask how our food was, which was just ok. He also did not ask if we wanted refills on our drinks or if we wanted desert (both of which we did). Also had to ask 3 times for a togo back, and he didnt clear our plates after we were finished. A total disappointment.

    Good food, average service.

I absolutely love places like this, and every time I come back down I make sure to visit. The last time I went, I had pan cubano, cafe con leche, and Tres Leches. The place was full, as always, and it took forever for them to get to us. When they brought the Cafe con leche, it came about... forty-five minutes before the food. My drink was already cold. This defeats the purpose of getting the bread with the drink, since you obviously dump el pan, in the cafe con leche! However, the waitress knew this and brought me another, without my having to complain. I agree with everyone that the dessert is the best reason to come here. I suggest you try everything. Seriously, all the baked goods and classic cuban desserts are really good. I would recommend this place!

    Ho hum

The food was decent, but hardly the best Cubano sandwich I ever had. The place is extremely noisy, the service is indifferent at best, the staff barely speak English, if at all. It is tacky as hell, but it's a Cuban restaurant not La Bergerie. It took forever to get the check. Eat somewhere else and come here for dessert to take home! They really are that good.

Good food and an enjoyable meal

I was there twice in one week and the food was very good. Try the bakery for fabulous treats

    Authentic and Fabulously Tasty

Versailles is one of my favorite restaurants I have travelled extensively in Europe and have dined in wonderful places but I always love to go back to Versailles. Always fresh, authentic and delicious. The baked goods are superb, the cheesecake is out of this world. So the decor is not exactly luxurious but it's clean and reminds one of being in a really great Cuban restaurant in Habana. The service is friendly and good, some servers do not speak English, we had no trouble though. Just love it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. You will never go wrong here.
