Vic & Angelo's

Having been to every Italian restaurant in NY to Fl. we LOVE this place. Immediately love our waiter, he is busy so you wait a bit but if they aren't busy go somewhere else. I feel the same way about attorneys if they are always in their office they probably aren't that great because they should be in court!! The food is excellent! The Manager stopped by a couple times to see how we liked everything. It has become our favorite north of Miami. If you show up during the busiest hours you have to wait. Try to get there when it is a little later a little slower, but excellent and they don't skimp on the meal. Atlantic Ave is what it is so if you want chain restaurants you get what they serve. We find Vic & Angelos to be very personal and I feel as though I am back on Mott & Hester and love the ambiance. They treat us like family! Did I say the food is great too!!

We were there (a party of 8) for lunch During the arts festival Thanksgiving weekend. We were treated nicely by the servers, and the food was excellent, as well as the portions. Will be going again for lunch. Yes, I think the prices for dinner are a little too high, but the lunch prices are a great value as well as delicious.

Service was alright. Waiter did not explain dinners in detail even though we asked. One pasta dish had a strong flavor of bacon. He never told us it had bacon. Another had truffle mushrooms which my sister had an allergy to. Dinners were just alright. Chicken was dry. One meal served with under cooked vegtables. All were around 25-30. We have had much better meals at other places. Dessert is fun and except for overcharging they were good. 21.00 for cotton candy and more. It cost over 300.00 for 3 adults and 4 kids. And we had 5 meals, one salad, 2 drinks, 2 desserts. Just not worth it!

Portions are huge and you can share without charge... Pasta sauce was as good as mom's... fish was cooked perfectly and lots of veggies.. Made out last evening in Delray!

The hostess was rude when we arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation. It was 95 degrees out and she said we can seat you early if you eat outside! So we waited. We had our 2 young sons with us and ordered each a side dish of pasta for $15 which was cold. The waiter obviously felt as though he was doing us a huge favor. The cotton candy dessert was fun but hardly worth the price of around $18. Once was enough for our family - I wouldnt do business lunch or dinner here either.

What's with these hostesses? - food is very good, service is reasonable as are the prices - hostesses have given us a hard time on 3 occasions with or without reservations. Be a little more welcoming and and accomodating.
