Woodlands

I was a bit apprehensive visiting this place but I am so HAPPY I did. The food was outstanding. The waiter was so patient and said he could make any of the menu items vegan for us. We tried the dosa and I got their special Woodlands dosa upon his recommendation and I was not disappointed. I will definitely be back here many more times in the future. Just a little side note, I do not like canned mushrooms which were used in the mushroom masala instead of fesh mushrooms but I should have asked before ordering so it was my fault. Overall, the staff was nice and informative and the menu was great for anyone needing vegan and gluten free options :) Tons of flavor too!

I cannot say one bad thing about the Woodlands. I have been going there now for more than a year, week after week and not only is the food amazingly delicious, it is healthy and they change it up daily so I never get tired of it. The staff are all wonderful, the service is great. I also was there before the new owners took over a year ago and it is even better now than before. I have recommended this restuarant to a lot of friends who also love it. You will not be disappointed. Not only in the buffet but their menu offers so many good choices.

At about 2'0 clock in the afternoon, the food in the buffet was all dried up and unappealing, naan bread was burnt and as hard and dry as a rock. The choice to vegetarian food was limited to just two vegetables and one lentil rest all were fillers, like two rice dishes, sambar (soup) and chutneys. Only highlite was the fresh Dosa brought on the table. i have had food there previously when the old management was still there and the food quality has dropped drastically since then.

Let me first say, I called in my order. I was told 20 minutes. I got there 20 minutes later, and the food was on its way out to me as I waited by the register. So the service was prompt and all that fluffy stuff. Now the food...not bad. Except for the fact I was told rice came with one of the dishes. Where's the rice? The side dish I ordered was missing, and I was charged for the missing dish. To top it all off I was given a warm hamburger bun wrapped in aluminum foil. and I feel the portions are skimpy. I only went because a friend said food was good and they're a lot closer than the other Indian Vegetarian restaurant I usually go to in Sunrise. Not bad but, I feel they need to serve larger portions and no charge for missing item or substitute it. Oh, almost forgot. No more hamburger buns.

Yesterday I sampled the buffet menu at Woodlands and l loved it. My favorite dishes were the dal makhani, palak paneer, vegetable pulav and mixed vegetable pakora. I also enjoyed the papadum and masala dosai. I did not like the carrot halwa because it was too sweet. I love spicy food and I certainly had my share of it. The place is simple, non-assuming and not a huge buffet but I found it nice and relaxing.

Recently I visited this place for nice south indian food. My order upma pesarattu is very good. My friends ordered idli sambhar and vada sambhar. They liked it very much and ordered one more and took another to go. At the end masala tea was good. Price is reasonable for the quality of the food we get, though it is not as cheap as in NJ & CA.

Woodlands is an ideal south indian restaurant serving authentic south indian cusine. This restaurtant is way better than Udipi located nearby. All their dishes are reasonably priced and have good quality of taste. Their lunch buffet is a must try. Lots of tasty delicious menu items on the buffet for a nominal price. Service is very good without any complaints. Overall a very good restaurant worth multiple visits.
